THE ESSENCE OF MATTERHOME COLLECTIONILLY DESIGN BAR TRIESTE / ITALY, 2000
CONCEPT: CSA – ARCH. C. SILVESTRIN
AN IMMERSIVE SPACEHOME COLLECTIONAll furnishings, whether part of the container or contents, have been crafted with meticulous
attention to detail. The goal was to achieve the highest level of precision, eliminate imperfections,
elevate the material, and celebrate its unique nuances and aromas.
This creates a foundation for a sensorial journey for those who immerse themselves in this
environment.
HOME COLLECTIONThe natural stone lower wall claddings align flawlessly with the upper wall cladding connected
continuously to the ceiling . the upper part, which has a thickness of 5-6 mm, is composed of a
mixture of earth, lime, and glue.
HIDDEN FRAMESThe building’s outer wall has a large fixed window that blends
seamlessly with the curve of the wall. The support frames of the
window are concealed beneath the interior walls, giving it a sleek
appearance. The window is made of ultra-clear satin glass and
has a transparent strip in the center. A shelf made of uv-welded
glass has been added, creating a spot to display a unique coffee
cup that is softly lit by a dedicated spotlight.
NATURAL
MATERIALS
AND FINISHES
The brass sheet used to craft the counter has a thickness of 20/
tenth and is burnished by treating it with acid and waxing it with
natural beeswax.
The indoor tables and benches are made of carefully selected
zebrano wood, enhancing vein continuity.
The dehor is crafted from solid Lebanese cedar.
HOME COLLECTION“During the works and for many days to follow, the air around via delle torri, where the store is
situated, was filled with the strong aroma of lebanon wood for several days.
This gave the place an ancient feel.
The project was designed by architect claudio silvestrin, and he paid meticulous attention to
every detail, infusing his precise, rigorous, and subtle vision into the design.
The aroma that permeated the air was much like his approach to the project.
